Police Crackdown on... Police
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Police internal affairs bureau is expected to hand its findings on Golden Dawn infiltration of ELAS (Greek police) to public order minister Nikos Dendias.
The report has found at least 20 officers participating in Golden Dawn organizations, who are expected to be suspended from duties, while anyone being found linked to criminal acts will face prosecution.
At the same time, ELAS is on high alert throughout the country under orders from the minister. All leaves have been canceled, and patrols have been stepped up to forestall any incidents by Golden Dawn members.
