Greece Plans Nationwide Free WiFi
Today, the Hellenic government published the: "National Network of Wireless Internet Access WiFI Hotspots", on the Diavgeia website.
The National Strategic Reference Framework will back the project. Its budget is set at 25 million euros, in comparison to the original allotment of 15 million euros.
After the wireless network is put in place, free internet access will be available in public locations across the nation, including libraries, parks, squares, and museums.
Connection time will be available in thirty minute increments, within 20 to 100 meters from wireless sources. Each internet outlet will be able to offer wifi to approximately 40 to 50 users at a time.
