Three Heroin Transporting Criminals Testify Today
Today, three criminals involved in Greece's largest drug transaction testified before the courts.
The drug traffickers involved were a 32-year-old Greek citizen, an Indian seaman, and a 47-year-old Iranian man. Over two tons of heroin were found in a Filothei mansion and in two Koropi warehouses over the last week. The narcotics were brought into Greece on the Noor One vessel.
The Iranian felon was scheduled to appear before the court system yesterday, but was granted a one-day extension upon his request. During his trial, he admitted that he was aboard the ship and that the drugs were brought on the vessel from a supply boat between Oman and Pakistan. He claimed he was to gain 50 million Iranian reals for his assistance.
It has been reported that the Greek citizen involved transferred the drugs to the two warehouses. Yesterday, four more traffickers from India were arrested in the same crime activity and remain in custody. They have all shot down claims that they were in any way associated in drug transactions.
