Greek Tourism Sector Promotes Hellenic Produce
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Overabundance of specific products may be absorbed by Greek tourism units, as was noted in a circular from the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE). In the letter addressed to SETE members, and especially to hoteliers, the organization points out they should offer such goods for their guests' consumption.
The letter was sent in light of the over-production of Greek peaches that is expected to peak in July and August, coinciding with the peak of the tourist season. SETE urges members to offer the fruit at all food service points, inside and outside hotels.
As SETE noted, the am of Greek tourism remains the support and promotion of Greek gastronomy and quality Greek products that reinforce local production and add value to tourism services offered by the country's sector.
