Hellenic Postal Workers Plan Wednesday Strike
The Hellenic Post (ELTA) workers are set to strike for 24 hours next Wednesday, according to reports.
Their Attica based union has scheduled the protest, to rally against an inadequate amount of staff and is calling for an instantaneous hiring of employees during the summer season.
If their voice is not heard, union followers have announced that they will hold another four day strike. beginning August 11th and ending on the 14th. Postal workers have blamed the government and ELTA management of: ""dragging out the process of recruiting 645 seasonal employees for months", according to ekathimerini. The union's declaration stated that employees have had it and demanded an "immediate intervention".
