113 Million for Social Welfare Benefits
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The sum of almost 113 million euros will be given to municipalities to dispense to those entitled to social welfare benefits for July-August 2013.
The decision was made by interior minister Yannis Mihelakis, who drew the funds from the ministry's special account for funding municipalities.
The ministry emphasizes that the funding will be used only to pay benefits to those entitled, in essence warning mayors not to use it for other municipal needs.
