Prime Minister Samaras Receives Cypriot President Anastasiades Next Monday
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is scheduled to receive Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades next Monday, July 28th in Athens, according to reports.
The two leader’s topics of discussion will be centered on the division of Cyprus and current UN approved negotiations between the two territories.
Government spokeswoman Sofia Voultepsi stated to CNA, “there seems to be a kind of setback in the negotiation process…this is reflected in recent statements made by the President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, and the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community, Dervis Eroglou”, as reported by Parikiaki.
Voultepsi further commented,“in the context of the unbreakable relations between Greece and Cyprus, this issue relating to the setback of the talks, will be discussed between Samaras and Anastasiades on Monday”.
