The grand school parade for the celebration of the 25 March War of Independence in Athens was completed at approximately 12 noon with the participation of 1878 students from 313 schools of Athens.

Major streets shut down in downtown Athens today for the parade celebrating the Greek Independence Day of March 25, while police were on alert, in great numbers.

A crowd of Canadian – Greek citizens of all ages, yesterday, watched the parade of the diaspora community in Montreal, marking the anniversary of the 25th of March national holiday.
