New Democracy records a difference of ten points from SYRIZA according to a new poll by Opinion Poll for the website tomanifesto.gr.
European Parliament deputy (MEP) Nikos Androulakis will be the next president of the Parliament-represented Movement of Change (KINAL) political grouping, as he was leading with 68.42 percent on Sunday with 70.4 percent of the vote tallied.
He bested former prime minister (2009-2011) and veteran politician George Papandreou, who was polling 31.58 percent of the vote an hour after polling stations closed around the country.
With 175,000 votes counted (83.2 percent) in the elections for the president of the centre-left political formation, Fofi Gennimata, leader of the socialist party of PASOK has secured a spot in the second round after receiving 42.50 of the votes and will face off for the leadership of the new centre-left formation with Nikos Anfroulakis.
