Thessaloniki mayor Yannis Boutaris is seen as approaching To Potami, according to statements he made to this effect. Besides his personal relations with To Potami leader Stavros Theodorakis, Mr Boutaris admitted that the party's ideas also express him.

According to a new poll conducted by GPO for Mega channel, shows that in the upcoming local elections for the Municipality of Athens, Giorgos Kaminis comes first in people's intention of vote and in Thessaloniki, Giannis Boutaris still holds first place. Moreover, Giannis Sgouros seems to have an easy way ahead for remaining in his position at the Prefecture of Attica.

The government's cohesion was again put to the test, this time over a technicality that might have barred Yannis Boutaris from running for Thessaloniki mayor.
