The Health Ministry’s coronavirus spokesman and infectious diseases professor Sotiris Tsiodras on Thursday evening dispelled speculative reports that the country's elderly will be allowed to leave their homes sometime soon. 

"The days of the pandemic, in our country and in the world, are like a long Holy Week. Τhis is felt everywhere, in the empty streets and in our houses, in our minds and hearts," President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou posted on Monday on Facebook.

Greeks will not be allowed to visit relatives of friends during Easter, government spokesperson Stelios Petsas said.
