Tourism Minister - The agreement with Jet2 to increase available airline seats

Agreement with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Group to increase by 600,000 the available airline seats to Greek destinations in 2022, compared to 2019, was concluded by the Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias, during a working meeting with the CEO of the Group Steve Heapy, at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. The meeting was also attended by the General Secretary of EOT Dimitris Fraggakis and senior executives of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

EOT - Dynamic promotion of "rural" Arcadia in the Italian market

The representatives of seven travel agencies specializing in this type of travel, as well as a journalist and a blogger from Italy, were left very impressed by the natural beauty of Arcadia and the possibilities it offers for outdoor tourism activities. The group visited the area from 6 to 10 October, in the context of a familiarization trip (fam trip) implemented by the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) Italian bureau in collaboration with the Peloponnese Tourist Organization.

How much will the decision of the State Department cost Greek tourism?

The decision of the State Department to add Greece along with 97 other countries to the "Level 4" of its list of travel instructions is expected to have consequences for Greek tourism. In this way it advises American citizens not to travel to these, due to "the very high level of Covid-19".
