The mass graves and the collapse of health systems in powerful capitalist countries of the G7 and the European Union, even in the "capstone" of capitalism the United States, were proof of capitalism's decay and historical bankruptcy, Communist Party of Greece (KKE) General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas said in an interview given to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.

"Compromise with concession of sovereign rights and co-exploitation of the wealth in the Aegean may be dangerous for the peace and for the people's future."

"The extension of the defense cooperation agreement between Greece and the USA, which also concerns the Souda base, confirms that the SYRIZA - ANEL government is not only continuing the policy of the previous New Democracy and PASOK governments but also further embroiling the country in the aggressive imperialist plans for the region, at a time when competition is intensifying dangerously," the communist KKE party said in a statement on Thursday.
