Communist Party KKE head: Compromise with concession of sovereign rights dangerous for peace
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Communist Party (KKE) secretary general Dimitris Koutsoumbas expressed his concern over the apparent promotion of a "compromise choice with Turkey in the name of avoiding a conflict" in an interview with Ethnos newspaper on Sunday. "Compromise with concession of sovereign rights and co-exploitation of the wealth in the Aegean may be dangerous for the peace and for the people's future."
"KKE supports the non-violation of the borders and the designation of the sea zones according to the international law of the sea," he said
He said that Greece through the agreement with USA "turns into a US-NATO base for war operations but also into a retaliations target as the Russians and the Iranian stated" noting that the years of Greek officers participation in 15 NATO and EU across borders missions do not offer the least security to the people."
