Harsh language against Athens and the support it provides to Ukraine, during the four years of war with Russia, was used a few days ago by Sergey Lavrov, during a presentation of Moscow's diplomatic work in 2025. The Russian Embassy in Greece presents the Russian Foreign Minister's position on the issue in a post.

"Western arms deliveries to Ukraine mean that NATO is 'essentially involved in a war with Russia' and Moscow considers these weapons to be legitimate military targets," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview broadcast Monday.

Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias exchanged views and recent policy experiences in tackling the coronavirus pandemic with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, speaking on the telephone on Thursday.
