The most popular purchase of electronic devices is mobile phones, with Greece ahead of the average of the other 18 countries in a relevant study and coming in 5th place in the market for mobile devices in the last 12 months, according to the new research by Focus Bari entitled "The Evolving Electronics Market' conducted by the YouGov network.

Greek Education Minister Kostas Gavroglou issued a circular banning the use of mobile phones and other devices with image and video manipulation and recording capabilities by students on school premises.

The very possession of a mobile phone by students undergoing written examinations has been deemed by courts reason enough to grade the student with zero for that examination.
