Greek of the Week Features Katrina Mitzeliotis

New Greek TV's featured "Greek of the Week" is stylists to the stars Katrina Mitzeliotis.

The Greek-American was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, while her mother originates from Samos and her father hails from Limnos. From a young age, Mitzeliotis wanted to be a fashion director stating, "I always wanted to be dressed up, I was always into fashion and I liked writing and reading. When I was little I never wanted to wear pants, I always wanted to put on a dress. I was into accessories even as a little girl".

The fashionista attended the University of Delaware and majored in journalism. Upon returning to New York City, her first job was covering red carpets for entertainment journalism media portals. Mitzeliotis described, "That's where I fell in love with the red carpet fashion and celebrity style".

The Greek-American currently works at the celebrity life and entertainment site "Hollywood Life" (www.hollywoodlife.com). She began working at the company prior to its launch and commented, "It's cool to watch the site grow from the bottom's up. We have 25 million monthly users. In 2012, I was the celebrity style expert for David's Bridal".

Mitzeliotis lives in Brooklyn and loves it, as its familiar and a bit quieter than Manhattan. As she explains, "I am always in Manhattan working but it's nice to relax in Brooklyn. There is good shopping too!" Her current must haves include crop tops, midi skirts and prints, with a lot of color. Accessories are an essential of any outfit too!

The fashion expert is excited to go to Greece this summer, where she will spend three weeks on Samos and Limnos. When asked if her ethnicity influences her fashion sense, Mitzeliotis stated, "Definitely, I think that the fact that the culture is very 'on the beach' in Greece and summer is the time where my personal style shines. I love being in a breezy dress and I love the blue and white color combination, I love the Greek key and jewelry. The attention to jewelry in Greece I like a lot. Everything is so effortless in Greece, you go from the beach to dinner to shopping".
