This is no weather to get lost in the Greek countryside, so an alarm was raised early Friday morning in Crete at the Fire Department, as two French nationals, a mother and daughter, were lost on a path in Stavros Chania that leads to the Gouvernetou Monastery.

The attempt of a 67-year-old German to hike in the south of the White Mountains between Sougia and Agia Roumeli, in Chania, had a tragic end.

The Municipality of Chania and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania have signed a program contract for the implementation of the project: "Investigation of foreign tourist profile of the Municipality of Chania, degree of satisfaction with the services offered, observance of health safety rules and prospects for extending the tourist season."
