Singer Iro and Greek schoolchildren from Frankfurt in a concert full of Greek music
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greek schoolchildren of the European school of Frankfurt will sing songs of famous Greek composers.
They will rediscover their roots and will become ambassadors of their country’s music creations to their non-Greek friends.
This was their own initiative and they contacted the famous Greek singer Iro through the cultural office “Polytropon” in Frankfurt.
This Thursday the grand rehearsal will take place and the children will have the opportunity to meet with Iro. On Friday 31st the first of the two scheduled concerts will take place and the songs of Theodorakis, Chatzidakis among other composers will be presented to the audience of Frankfurt at the European School of Frankfurt.
On Sunday April 2nd, Iro will be at Schwetzingen’s Alte Wollfabrik near Haidenburg, presenting the “Songs from Greece” concert.
