- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Attica local governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, is visiting Toronto for the large international innovation exhibition "Collision Tech Conference", in which the Attica Region participates with its own stand, together with the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Athens and the Hellenic Investment and Enterprise Greece.
Hardalias will visit the Greek stand on Wednesday and have talks with representatives of start-up companies that either plan to invest in the Greek capital, or come from our country. The regional governor gives special importance to the systematic strengthening of innovation and start-up entrepreneurship, characterizing the international exhibition of Toronto as a first-class opportunity to highlight the original ideas of the brilliant Greek start-ups. "We want to present our own brain power. In other words, what will lead us to brain gain, leaving behind us, like a bad memory, the brain drain," he stated speaking.
Hardalias will have contacts with members of the Greek community of Toronto and important tour operators to promote the tourism brand of Attica and further strengthen synergies in tourism. Today, the regional governor will also have a meeting with the Archbishop of Canada Mr. Sotirios, while on Thursday he will go to the MaRS Innovation Center, which hosts a combination of business startups, global companies and leading research programs.
