Greek hostess among casualties in Libyan jet crash

A new dimension to the air tragedy involving the Falcon 50 that crashed near Ankara and killed, among others, the Libyan general, Mohamed Al Haddad, is given by the information that among the passengers was a Greek flight attendant. According to the report, the crew of the private jet included Maria Pappa.
In total, eight people lost their lives in the crash: General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Al Haddad, four other Libyan officials and three crew members. Among the crew members, according to the same information, were Denis Pourtau, Antony Tangarpriganin and the Greek flight attendant.
How the tragedy happened
The aircraft, carrying the Chief of the Libyan General Staff, General Mohamed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad, crashed on the evening of December 23, 2025, a few minutes after taking off from Esenboga Airport in Ankara, bound for Tripoli. According to the official information, the Falcon 50 took off at 20:17 and about 16 minutes later the crew reported an electrical failure, transmitting an SOS signal and requesting an urgent return to land.
During the descent, at 20:36, the aircraft disappeared from radar and all communication was lost. Searches followed, which led to the identification of the wreckage, without finding any survivors.
The Tripoli government confirmed the death of all those on board and cited an electrical failure as the cause of the accident, noting that a full investigation into the circumstances of the crash will follow.
