A 75-year old Greek businessman, who lives and works in the United States, has bought the house where our national poet Kostis Palamas was born in Patra, Peloponnese.

The former director of the Georgian Interior Ministry’s department for constitutional security, David "Data" Akhalaia, has been released on bail in Greece.

All five members of a family were arrested in Patra after a veritable adventure and charged with resisting arrest, forgery, possession of weapons, extortion, possession of fireworks and ammunition, causing bodily harm, and resisting arrest.
