On Monday, March 10, 2025, a reception was held at the Residence of the Permanent Representative of Greece to the United Nations, Ambassador Evangelos Sekeris, in honor of the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Ms. Sofia Zacharaki, Head of the Greek Delegation to the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which takes place from May 10 to 21, 2025.

Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Sofia Zacharaki expressed her conviction that cohesion and competitiveness are complementary objectives for the European Union, which must ensure that no European citizen is left behind. She conveyed this sentiment alongside Finance Minister Kostas Hadzidakis during the joint meeting of EU Finance, Labour, and Social Affairs Ministers.

The Greek government's continuous efforts for achieving and safeguarding substantial gender equality was underlined by both Social Cohesion & Family Minister Sofia Zacharaki and Development Minister Kostas Skrekas at the 2nd International Forum on Women's Entrepreneurship - 'Women Who Win', being held in Athens on Friday.
