Volos and Mount Pelion ready to receive winter tourists
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Mount Pelion and the city of Volos are ready to safely welcome and host visitors during the coming winter season as the damaged infrastructure at the various tourist destinations of the region has been restored after the disastrous floods that struck the area in September.
This was confirmed during an online meeting organised by FedHATTA and the Hellenic Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies (HATTA) with local associations of Pelion, so they might be informed about the current conditions and the area's return to Greece's tourist map.
FedHATTA President Lyssandros Tsilides stated: "Once again, the federation is coordinating its forces in collaboration with the local authorities to promote the issues to be resolved, in this case at a local level in order to save the winter tourism period in the region of Magnesia. We are certain that the State will do the best that is possible for everything to operate smoothly in Volos and Pelion".
