New destinations and direct routes from Athens and Thessaloniki have been added to Aegean's winter schedule. Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) from Athens, and Amsterdam (Netherlands) from Thessaloniki are the new direct flights that have appeared on Aegean’s website and booking systems, marking the beginning of the new winter season (Winter 2024).
According to a relevant announcement, the new direct flights from Athens International Airport (AIA) Eleftherios Venizelos to Abu Dhabi's Zayed Intl Airport (AUH) will commence in October, operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, strengthening the country's connectivity with Athens. This will be Aegean's second direct route to and from the United Arab Emirates following the launch of the new direct route to Dubai last year.
New direct flights from Athens to Las Palmas are scheduled to start in February 2025, operating twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.
Aegean, systematically investing in the development of its second largest base in Thessaloniki, will connect Thessaloniki's Macedonia Airport directly with Amsterdam starting October 28, with up to three weekly flights. Tickets are already available on the company's website and through travel agencies.
