Tourism organization TUI has extended the tourist season in Greece and Turkey until November in response to increased demand, as extreme summer temperatures disrupted the plans of some holidaymakers.
More than 500 weekly connections to 24 sunny destinations in Europe, North Africa and Turkey comprise TUI Fly's 2024 summer flight schedule. Majorca, Crete, Rhodes, Kos, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria are the leading destinations in the program.
“This summer, as well, Greece is one of the most popular holiday destinations. We expect the highest level of demand ever. Crete in particular is heading for an unprecedented record. There is no tourism sector or destination to Greece that is not in demand at the moment," said Aage Dinhaupt, TUI's Communications Director, to AMNA news agency.
