Twenty-two-year-old Kelly Gordon was hit and killed by two taxis in Manhattan yesterday evening.

The Boston College senior was crossing York Avenue between 84th and 85th streets at about 11:00 p.m., during the time of her death.

Police officials explained that one cab hit her and sent her into oncoming traffic; she was then hit by the second cab. Both taxi drivers remained at the accident. Gordon was due to graduate this semester with a finance, marketing and management undergraduate degree.

Boston College offered the following statement regarding their pupil: "The Boston College community offers its prayers and condolences to the family and many friends of senior Kelly Gordon...Kelly was a popular student in BC's Carroll School of Management... a community volunteer with the student group 4Boston, and a member of the student organization Boston College Women in Business".

The educational institution is offering counseling to Gordon's fellow students. Campus Masses over the weekend will be available to Gordon's family. Kelly Gordon was thought to be staying in Manhattan with her sister and attending job interviews.
