UNSG Ban Ki-moon & Dervis Eroglu Hold Meeting
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon meet with Turkish-Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu, during the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly, at UN headquarters in Manhattan.
The two delegates focused on negotiations held at finding a just solution for Cyprus. The UNSG voiced his approval at recent agreements between the Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot leaders to progress in discussions, within the framework of the Joint Declaration that was agreed upon on February 11th.
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon advised the two territories to immediately begin to find common ground concerning their stances, built on the framework of the Joint Declaration.
