Oman Expresses Cypriot Natural Gas Investment Interest
Oman has expressed its interest in Cypriot investments, specifically focusing on natural gas.
The county's desire was confirmed by Oman's Minister of Petrol and Natural Gas Mohammed bin Hamad bin Seif Al Rumhi, following his meeting with Cypriot Minister of Energy Giorgos Lakkotrypis, who is in Oman for one day, according to Parikiaki.
Lakkotrypis conducted successive meetings with the Minister of Petrol and Natural Gas, the Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrizi, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Masoud bin Ali Al Sunaidy.
During discussions with the Minister of Petrol, Cyprus' Minister of Energy referenced recent advancements concerning Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone. The two delegates contemplated various methods of collaboration between Cyprus and Oman, in the sectors of renewable energy sources and natural gas.
Lakkotrypis spoke of enhancing the two nation's bilateral relations regarding commerce and tourism, while meeting with other Omani Ministers. The Cypriot Minister of Energy's meetings are in accordance with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades' upcoming travels to Oman.
