Cypriot President Anastasiades Receives Clean Bill of Health
Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades returned to his homeland from Brussels over the weekend, and has been described as being in "very good health" by Government Spokesman Nicos Christoudoulides, according to Parikiaki.
The Spokeman added, "The doctors have recommended that the President rests for the next 48 hours". Anastasiades was in the capital of Belgium last week to attend European Council meetings, along with other high-profile discussions, including talks centering on Turkey's EEZ violations in the Republic of Cyprus.
During his trip, Anastasiades was received at a Brussels hospital due to a lengthy nosebleed. Hospital testing revealed that his condition was due to high blood pressure. The Cypriot President was treated and told to stay in bed for the following forty-eight hours and remained under a Brussels physician's watch.
