Cypriots Drive Most in EU
The most current Eurobarometer analysis confirmed that the car is the most used method of transportation within the EU, with Cyprus ranking first in automobile usage.
Cyprus held 85%, Ireland marked 73%, Slovenia gained 71% and Malta generated 70%. City public transportation was found to be used the most in Latvia with 31%. Romania and Poland both held 29%.
Bike riding as a mode of transport was the most popular in the Netherlands with 36%, compared to the country's car use at 45%. In the study, convenience was the most popular answer for transportation used; 77% of Cypriots mentioned it as the reason for driving.
