Capital Link: Greek Economy and Investment Summit in New York

In an extremely positive period for Greece, Capital Link is organizing the annual Greek Economy and Investment Summit in New York with the participation of Leading American and International Investors, International & Greek Businesses, International & Greek Banks & Organizations, Senior Government Executives (4 Greek Ministers, 1 US Minister) and 23 Listed Companies, in collaboration with the New York Stock Exchange, the Athens Exchange Group (ATHEX Group) and major international Banks & Organizations. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and TEN Ltd (Tsakos Energy Navigation) are the Main Sponsors.

Once again, the event is under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.

This is the longest-running investment conference for Greece held abroad. Entitled “Greece – Speeding Ahead Post Investment Upgrade”, the annual “Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum” will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the “Metropolitan Club” in New York.

This international summit for Greece in New York is held every year, regardless of the political and economic conditions in the country. Over the course of the 26 consecutive years it has been organized, it has engaged in a systematic effort to promote Greece to the international investment and business community.

This year’s Forum is particularly important as the recovery of the Investment Grade is a milestone for the Greek economy, attracting long-term capital and creating favorable liquidity conditions. This rating regime unlocks opportunities for significant foreign capital inflows, facilitated by significant efforts in the field of digitalization and tax incentives. The country now offers the potential for investment in many sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, agriculture, innovation, energy and logistics. Greece’s geographical location, being at the crossroads of three continents, provides easy access to both emerging and established markets, making it an ideal hub for attracting new talent and promoting innovation – who were previously unable to invest in Greece, despite recognizing its positive prospects.

The Conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the country’s economic and investment landscape, highlighting its strategic location, business-friendly policies and sectors open for investment.

The Conference will be opened by the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who will address investors via a video message.
