French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, were at a Greek restaurant in Paris and tasted exquisite Greek dishes.

The Macron couple visited the Michelin-starred restaurant “Le Mavrommatis Restaurant”, owned by the famous chef Andreas Mavrommatis.

The Greek chef, in fact, shared on his personal Instagram account some photos from the visit of the French president and the First Lady to his restaurant, located in the famous Quartier Latin district.

In the photos, the French presidential couple pose with the Greek chef and all the staff.

Macron did not hesitate to enter the kitchen to chat with the employees, while expressing his love for Greece and its cuisine.

“We had the great honor of welcoming the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Brigitte Macron, at @mavrommatislerestaurant.

The President enthusiastically expressed his deep appreciation for the cultural wealth of Greece and, in particular, for its cuisine.

"He also took the time to chat warmly with our teams, both in the hall and in the kitchen, in a particularly friendly and humane atmosphere.

An honor for our restaurant and a precious memory for each of us.

Thank you for this special visit," the chef wrote characteristically in the caption of the post.

As reported by the journalist of "Proinos" Thanos Vagios, who was at the same restaurant, Macron, after finishing his meal, ordered Greek coffee on the embers.

Then, the Greek chef took the opportunity to introduce him to the Greek journalist.

In a video brought to light by the show "To Proino", Thanos Vagios is recorded talking with the French president and his wife, with Macron stating on camera that he loves Greece, and revealing that the word he knows in Greek is "parakletos".
