Featured Star Hellas Stella Michaelidou spοke to Greek media outlet iefimerida about Miss Britain's withdrawal from a beauty pageant in India

The allegations made by Miss Britain, Mila Magee, during her withdrawal from the 72nd World Beauty Contest in India have caused a stir. "I didn't come here to be exploited for the entertainment of the world. The Miss World beauty pageant is supposed to have some values. They made me feel like a prostitute," were the words of Mila Magee, denouncing the organizers for asking her to entertain middle-aged businessmen at a dinner as a "thank you" for the money they had put into the contest.

Greek contestant Stella Michaelidou, who is in India for the 72nd World Beauty Pageant, speaking to iefimerida, gave her own explanation for the departure of Miss Britain, who was replaced by the first alternate Charlotte Grant.

"The truth is that Miss England wasn't having a good time and couldn't wait to leave. It's very difficult to be in such a competition and have to participate in the process of this competition for a month. This girl couldn't handle the competition, she didn't feel good about herself because she was the most fit, but no one criticized her for it. I just think she didn't feel good about herself and didn't feel accepted for that and I think she left", explains Stella Michaelidou to iefimerida and adds:

"What I have received so far all this time is a wonderful atmosphere. Because I have been to other contests where the relations between the contestants are very bad, I don't feel it here. There is no complaining, the organization is on point, nothing escapes them and the only thing we have to face is ourselves. Because in the various challenges you have to be prepared to answer quickly and correctly and have your mind prepared. But apart from that, the organization is amazing, it's like we are living in a fairy tale and I don't know if there would be another country and city that would organize this contest so well".

The Telangana government has launched an investigation into Miss Britain's allegations.

Regarding Miss Britain's allegations, Jayesh Ranjan, special secretary general of Telangana and organizer of the pageant, categorically rejected Maggi's allegations, describing them as "fabricated and exaggerated".

He said that the CCTV footage of the cultural evening about which Mila Maggi made the allegations shows her sitting at a table with a senior government official and his family, without any inappropriate behavior. The Telangana government has taken Mila Maggi's allegations seriously and has set up a three-member inquiry committee, comprising senior police officers, to investigate the allegations. The committee has already started collecting statements from other contestants and stakeholders.

The investigation is being closely monitored by the Telangana Chief Minister's Office.

As for the progress of the competition, Stella Michaelidou made it to the top 20 for the multimedia challenge. This is her second distinction, having previously been among the top 20 in the "best talent" competition.

To date, all 108 finalists have participated in a series of organized visits and cultural events. The grand finale of the competition will be held on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India.
