The Israeli Embassy in Greece on the Madleen Ship: “Whatever was not consumed by the ‘‘celebrities’’ will be transferred to Gaza”
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
In a scathing tone about the initiative of the ship “Madleen”, the Israeli Embassy in Greece commented on the outcome of the mission.
In a post published on X, the Israeli Embassy in Athens states that the ship was safely taken to the Israeli coast, the passengers are in excellent health and were provided with basic items such as water and food. In fact, it is noted that everyone is going to return to their countries of origin.
The mission included public figures from the arts and civil society, with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza — including activist Greta Thunberg. The embassy says that “the small amount of aid that was not consumed during the trip by the celebrities will be delivered to Gaza.”
The post concludes by noting that “over 1,200 trucks of humanitarian supplies have entered Gaza from Israel in the past two weeks, while nearly 11 million meals have been delivered to civilians through GHF.”
The comment concludes with the phrase: “There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — and they don’t involve taunts and selfies.”
In fact, the post is accompanied by a photo of activist
Greta Thunberg at the moment when she is offered a sandwich by Israeli forces.

In case you missed it:
The "selfie yacht" safely headed towards the coast of Israel. The passengers are safe and were provided with sandwiches and water, and are expected to return to their home countries.
The small amount of aid not consumed by the “celebrities” will be delivered to Gaza through actual humanitarian corridors.
More than 1,200 trucks of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza from Israel in the past two weeks, and nearly 11 million meals have been delivered by GHF directly to civilians in Gaza. There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — they don’t involve challenges and selfies.
