The Huff Post Travel section scoured over a million photos and tips from international travelers, to determine the world's most inspirational, astounding, and breathtaking holy locations.

The article naturally included Meteora as one of the holiest places on the planet. The Huffington Post writes of the Greek Orthodox landmark: "Near the village of Meteora in central Greece, massive monolithic stones jut into the sky creating one of the most gorgeous panoramas in Europe.
