UN Mediator Nimetz & Venizelos Conduct Meetings Over FYROM Terminology
The Greek Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday that government Vice President and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos is scheduled to hold a meeting with United Nations mediator Matthew Nimetz, concerning the nation's discrepancy with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
The two delegates will hold dialogues tomorrow, regarding FYROM's name choice. As reported by Kathimerini, Nimetz traveled to FYROM on Monday and had "some ideas" over the region's terminology, yet not any solid suggestions. The UN mediator is expected to remain in Athens for two days.
