Defense Minister Avramopoulos Praises Navy's Libyan Mission
Today, Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos praised the Hellenic Navy staff who worked on the Libyan mission "AGHINOR", aboard the "Salamis", as reported by ANA-MPA.
The vessel and its personnel safely transported Greeks and other individuals out of the war torn nation. The Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis communicated the Minister's statement, "absolute contentment with the immediate readiness and excellent planning and execution of operation "AGHINOR", for the safe evacuation from Libya of the Greek Embassy personnel, as well as, Greek and foreign nationals...the completion of this mission promotes the work of the Armed Forces to society and confirms our country's active role in the greater region".
