Greek & Palestinian Foreign Ministers Hold Teleconference
Greek Government Vice President and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos conducted a teleconference with Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority Riyad Al-Malki, concerning the Gaza Strip's current activity.
The Palestinian Delegate was located in Latin America, during Friday's call, as reported by ANA-MPA. Venizelos voiced his unease over the ceasefire's end and emphasized the urgent requirement for Israel and Palestine to come to an agreement on a lasting solution.
The Greek Vice President and Foreign Minister also discussed the 500,000 euros in humanitarian aid that Greece has contributed through the UNRWA, to assist the turmoil. He stated the nation's desire to aid and treat injured Palestinians, with a special focus on youth.
Al-Malki offered his gratefulness over Greece's contribution, and requested that the country keeps advocating Egypt's proposal. Additionally, the Greek and Palestinian Foreign Ministers talked about Al-Malki's recent letter penned to his European associates, and agreed that a collaborative European reply would be ideal.
