The growth of the Greek economy in the second quarter of the year was 7.7%, according to the data announced by Hellenic Statistical Authority-ELSTAT

Citizen Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos on Tuesday sent a strong message of national determination against "those who unfortunately insist on the instrumentalisation of unfortunate people" and of the unity of Greek men and women in the defence of the country's borders, of international law and human life.

"In the economic field, so far the State has supported society with measures amounting to 50 billion euros, and obviously there will be more for this year and for next year, permanent and non-permanent measures." The above was emphasized by Finance Minister Christos Staikouras, speaking at a party event at the Thessaloniki City Hall.

Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias said Greece "rejects [Turkey's] neo-Ottoman bravado," in joint statements with his visiting French counterpart Catherine Colonna in Athens on Tuesday.
