In the first five months of 2014, the central government of Greece held a 711 million euro primary budget excess, in comparison to a 970 million euro deficit in last year's same timeframe, as confirmed by Deputy Finance Minster Christos Staikouras today.

In 2014, Greece is predicted to acquire better budget figures than expected, yet unemployment rates will decline gradually within four years, as reported by the Finance Ministry yesterday.
