Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias welcomed, on behalf of the Greek government, the US-Greece Defense and Interparliamentary Partnership Act of 2021 voted by the US Senate on Wednesday.

The immediate - and particularly harsh - reaction of Greek diplomacy was provoked by the statements of the representative of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to which Greece is the one that incites the tension in the region and that it creates "artificial alliances".

Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias met on Tuesday with Piero Fassino, president of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, and discussed bilateral issues including the Greece-Italy agreement on the delimitation of maritime zones.
