The suspicions of the German and European authorities are turning to the "usual suspect", Russia, for possible involvement in the strange case of the attempted sabotage of the German corvette Emden. According to reports in major German media, the arrests of the alleged perpetrators, a 37-year-old Romanian and a 54-year-old Greek Muslim from the Pomakohoria villages of Thrace, are, on the one hand, linked to a series of deliberate and serious damages to the corvette Emden in January 2025.
