Protesters that included anti-war activists, anti-Wall Street activists, and some Syrian expatriate who support the Assad government gathered in New York City's Times Square to oppose any U.S. military action in Syria.

In an interview with CBS's News, Charlie Rose, Mr.Assad stated that his government was not behind a chemical attack that killed and injured hundreds of civilians, and stated that Syria might retaliate if attacked.
