Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday said his meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement was an opportunity to reaffirm the excellent relations between Greece and Serbia.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic began an official two-day visit to Athens on Tuesday by laying a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. The Serb president was received at the monument by the government's vice-president, Panagiotis Pikrammenos.

Greece, Romania and Bulgaria have called for the acceleration of the procedures for Serbia's accession to the European Union, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday, in an interview with Serbia's television network RTV Pink.
