Greek shipowner Ioanna Prokopiou of Sea Traders will be among the 16 members of the board of the new mutual insurance organization, which resulted from the merger of the North P&I Club and the Standard Club.
In the new Board of Directors, the two merging organizations are equally represented as it is a "merger of equals". Its members decided to merge the two maritime insurance companies in a vote last week.
The new board, which will begin operations in February 2023, will be chaired by Italian shipowner Cesare d’Amico.
