Did Nia Vardalos perform her entire role in Greek?
The play is a theatrical adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s popular novel “Tiny Beautiful Things,” which follows a woman who responds to real letters from readers of a popular American magazine. It premiered with great success in 2016 in New York, directed by Thomas Kail, followed by performances in Los Angeles and in 200 other theaters around the world, and became a successful television series on a well-known platform.
For the Greek version of the play, the translation was done by Nia Vardalos' partner, Spyros Katsaganis, who also co-directed it, while three Greek actors also participate, Dimitris Papanikolaou, Danae Loukaki and Dimitris Kitsos.
