No Transactions Say Heating Fuel Retailers
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The fuel retailers union has decided that its members should not buy or sell any heating fuel, starting October 15.
The union has gripes with the price of heating fuel, which has been set at 1.30 euros per liter. The date for initiating sales has been set by the government as the starting point for heating fuel.
So far, pre-orders for fuel are nil, with consumers turning to other means to heat homes this winter.
Meanwhile the government is looking into broadening the criteria for distributing heating fuel subsidies, and speeding up the processes for getting it, amidst clamor from the union.
