Tourists in Skiathos continue dangerous habit of sitting in back of planes while turbine kicks on (video)
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
There is no end to the bad habit for tourists in Skiathos, despite the repeated warnings of the authorities. Visitors to the island still record the planes taking off and landing at close range from the airport which is a breath away from the area's beach.
As can be seen in videoσ circulating on the internet, tourists stand right behind the tail of a plane, at the edge of the airport runway at the time of its take-off, as a result of which they can see, feel, experience the power of the thrust from the turbine .
As soon as the plane revs its engines to begin takeoff, the air coming out of the turbines sweeps some away while others are thrown to the opposite side. This is something really dangerous, which the authorities have banned but tourists continue to do.
