Bakoyanni Blasts Taxes and New Measures
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A million Greeks will be led to debt insolvency because of the government's tax policies, especially the new real estate tax, stated member of parliament Dora Bakoyanni.
Speaking to parliament's standing committee on finance that is examining the new tax bill, Ms. Bakoyanni also entertained skepticism about privatizations, saying that such cannot always come down to a single bidder.
The New Democracy deputy also noted that premature pensioning is a live landmine.
In reference to the possibility of new measures, Ms. Bakoyanni stated "enough with this game," warning that "none of the Greek MPs that have proven they bear the responsibility of difficult decisions will ever vote for them."
